This shock's trail-hugging descent really surprised me—I felt glued to the line through rock gardens I used to bounce over. And it still climbs efficiently without any wallow when I stand up to pedal.

The pedal platform is firm enough that I'm climbing way faster than with my old shock, yet it still feels planted and smooth on the chunky descents. The whole setup is surprisingly lightweight for how much control it gives you.
